Universe contrives an unplanned meeting

This world shows you how small it is when you bump into the most unlikely of places with family or friends unexpectedly - like oh around the corner from your work.

There we were planning our dinner when we looked to our left and I had seriously thought both Rom and I were seeing things...Rom's second cousins were standing there...Marevick and Jess whom I haven't seen since forever!

We found out that they were only here for a whirlwind trip and that out of all places a friend of theirs suggested to rent a condo at McKinley Residences (a condo right behind Rom's work).

A few days before this sighting, Rom was just talking about Marevick regarding the CBA stocks and they were saying to each other how funny would it be to bump into Rom since this was where he worked. The universe obviously thought it was about time we caught up again :)

Rom and I met up with Jess for dinner 2 nights ago, after tempting him with Dulong, Bulanglang we were a little stuck as to where to take him.

Jess thought to try the new L'encorte restaurant at Burgos Circle a little french restaurant that just opened.

As we sat down, I noticed how small the menu was - low and behold there were only 3 things on the menu. Steak (on it's own), Steak as a package and Vegetarian.

We were laughing so hard, because Jess mentioned earlier that he could eat steak anywhere...Rom was so worried that he offered to say we can go somewhere else. Jess however, was determined to stay.

Whilst waiting for our meal Jess brought up (after the fact that we ordered the steak package) that we should've asked what actually is L'encorte? Something I didn't want to hear, Jess thought it might be a translation to deer meat (jokingly) and I said 'HUWAT'. Rom and is new mistress Blackberry, looked it up. The relief, it a premium cut of beef! Thank goodness!

Our meal was served with entree as a salad (light) just has it should be, our food was placed on individual heating plates to keep the meal warm. Steak served with french fries and my steak was cooked to perfection! Partnered with a CabSav...what a great meal!

Just when we thought we were finished, our package came with dessert and tea - HUWOW!

Let me tell you the desserts were beautiful the serving definitely good enough for 2 - we choose a medley...Baked Alaska, Merinque, Profiteroles and some dessert with raspeberry and vanilla thingy which was really yummy!

Having satisfied Jess's appetite, we scheduled another meeting - Filipino Breakfast with Jess and Marevick the following day.

The world indeed is a very very small place - Jess and Marevick thanks for the time and hopefully your whirlwind trip was a good one!
