Too many and too little to do

I think security guards that roam around in their bikes and those who stand by the curb around here at The Fort are far too many with too little to do. I think they are the equivalent of parking attendants in Sydney - except I really can not take them seriously.

Not that traffic is heavy around The Fort area and roads are certainly big enough, with no signs to state NO PARKING in most streets, I don't see why they need to tell cars parked to go away. Personally I think they could best do their job by making sure that motorists and drivers actually follow the road rules or understand the symbols.

Example 1 - Zebra lines (Pedestrian crossing)
There is a whole lot of them here at The Fort and with the a lot of expats living here drivers should really know what it means. That is, to slow down and beware of pedestrians who have right of way to cross the roads. Except here they serve more like road decorations! So where are those security guards patrolling? Surprise no where in sight!

Example 2 - Pedestrian crossing with lights
Now on top of the zebra lines there are also electronic pedestrian crossings - you know the one that has the symbol GREEN to walk and RED to stop walking. Again motorists and drivers here a like have no idea what they mean - even though it's green, drivers and motorists still think they have right of way. My question to the Taguig council - why invest in equipment that your target market have no idea what to do with? It's not only a waste of money but also a waste of effort and time. Again, where are your security guards? Oh yeah, busy driving around in circles (literally) looking for cars parked on the road that has every right to be there since there's no sign that states they can't park there.

Mind you, I really can't take these security guards seriously, not with their overly tight uniforms, plastic badges...how can I? When I don't even credit the police force here much either!

Sounding a little negative, but for all serious purposes...I don't tourism will really boom here at all if you can't even manage to do the right thing with small things such understanding what a pedestrian crossing is!

Another thing, there is one to many of your security guards circulating the same place sometime 2-3 at the same spot...come on, if that isn't just pure laziness I don't know what is!
